Dr.Nasim Ashraf former Chairman NCHD and PHDF visited the feeder schools in Khizer and Hunza on 14th and 16th October 2026. Deputy Director Operations NCHD Mr. Hussain Gilgit-Baltistan, also met with Dr. Nasim Ashraf. During the meeting, the DD presented an overview of NCHD’s interventions in education, literacy, and volunteerism, emphasizing their role in community development across Gilgit-Baltistan. He asked questions from the students and was very happy to see their performance. Dr. Ashraf expressed keen interest in initiatives for differently abled children, recommending a comprehensive study through Aga Khan University to identify challenges and propose solutions. He further advised pitching proposals for Accelerated Learning Programs (ALP) and Continuous Professional Development (CPD) of NCHD teachers in Gilgit-Baltistan to strengthen inclusive education and improve teaching standards.
